This event was created to replace MADA's annual meeting. The idea was to make it a more engaging, less corporate reading of the annual report, and celebrate the automotive industry. Working with the president of MADA, I created the entire brand and all the elements... from the mailed out invitations to the web graphics and all the presentation and on site elements, both digital and print.
In 2016 the president of MADA wanted to revamp the company's annual meeting and make it more of a celebration of the industry. At the time, they were gearing up for a franchise fight with some of the bigger manufacturer names, so the idea spun off of the classic Rock 'em Sock 'em Robot game, which were the centerpieces for the tables that year. In 2017 they were still fighting the franchises and began a grass roots initiative, so the invitation and opening video as well as the table tops reflected that. The 2018 legislative session went well, so the theme for the Main Event that year was Defying the Odds with a casino feel... right down to poker chips and prize wheels.
